• The Donald E. Knuth Prize for outstanding contributions to the foundations of computer science (sponsored jointly by IEEE TCMFCS and SIGACT)
• The Edsger W. Dijkstra Prize in Distributed Computing (sponsored jointly by SIGACT and SIGOPS, with other corporate support)

• The Paris Kanellakis Theory and Practice Award for specific theoretical accomplishments that have had a significant and demonstrable effect on the practice of computing (an ACM award co-sponsored by SIGACT)
